JEFFERY L. BLACKORBY

ALTON — Jeffery L Blackorby, 61, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his residence after a period of declining health. He was born in Alton, Illinois on March 14, 1956 to the late Sloke Blackorby and the late Fay (McGiffen) Blackorby. He was a fun loving guy that never met a stranger. He was famous for his pool parties, Halloween costumes and Christmas decorations. He always went all out. He was an animal lover but nothing was more important to him than his family.

He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins but likely no one closer to him than his aunt, Marie Ryan.

He was preceded in death by a brother Stephen Blackorby, his beloved mother, Fay (McGiffen) Blackorby and his father Sloke Blackorby.

According to his wishes, he has been cremated and will be laid to rest beside his mother and brother in Grafton. There will be a Celebration of his life, August 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at his brother's residence.
