This is a letter I sent to Gary Peterson when he informed me about Rick's passing a few weeks after the reunion. - Bruce Hall

Gary,

I am very sorry to hear that. He really did not look too bad at the reunion, I thought, and he was in very good spirits.  I was actually quite moved by his appearance and attitude there.

As a matter of fact, I meant to email him to tell him that seeing him was one of the highlights of the reunion for me.  I got busy here and never did that, and now of course I have great regrets about not doing so.  It is a lesson in prioritizing what is important in life (not my job here) and not putting things off or forgetting to do them.

Awwwww ..... Thank you for sharing.  I'm sooooo sad to hear this news??. I'm thankful we all were able to see Rick at our reunion..... But I'm soooo sorry to hear this news??

I know Tom Bullen said Rick was quite a fighter and had really done well for such a long time.  I'm sure he loved seeing everyone that made the reunion.
